Dr. Mario Cornacchione, is Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Center for Successful Aging, University of Medicine & Dentistry of New Jersey-School of Osteopathic Medicine in Stratford, New Jersey. He also is the medical director at a 350-bed county nursing facility and is past Director of Geriatrics for Penn State Geisinger Health Care System's Eastern Region.
Dr. Cornacchione received his degree in osteopathic medicine from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in Old Westbury, New York. He completed a residency in family medicine at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Pennsylvania; a mini-fellowship in dementia at the University of Rochester School of Medicine in Rochester, New York; and a Faculty Development Program in Clinical Geriatric Assessment at UCLA School of Medicine in Los Angeles, California.
With 20 years' clinical and administrative experience as a geriatrician and certified medical director in long-term care, Dr. Cornacchione has gained a keen understanding of the clinical issues and education needs in several geriatric care settings. For the past 10 years he has utilized his clinical and teaching experience to write and produce award-winning video educational programs in geriatrics. He is President of Geriatric Video Productions and the Geriatric Research & Consulting Group.
Dr. Cornacchione has been the principal investigator on many research studies in geriatrics and long-term care, and has participated in the development of clinical practice guidelines that are utilized nationally to improve the quality of care in nursing homes. Additionally, he is coauthor of the revision to the national Clinical Practice Guidelines: Dementia Management in the Long Term Care Setting developed by the American Medical Directors Association.
Dr. Cornacchione publishes widely and lectures nationally and regionally on such topics as anemia assessment and management in long-term care, dementia in nursing facility residents, and innovative pharmacologic treatments for Alzheimer's disease. In addition, he is a consultant on geriatric and long-term care issues for many major pharmaceutical companies.
Currently Dr. Cornacchione has served on the editorial advisory board for the Journal of the American Medical Directors Association and is currently a peer reviewer for the journal. He is a member of the Pennsylvania QIO Advisory Board and is a past member of the Board of Directors of the American Medical Directors Association and its Certification Program, and a past President of the Pennsylvania Medical Directors Association. |

Slusser's educational background is in psychiatric/mental health nursing. While at the University of Pennsylvania she received a Masters Ph. D. training grant from the National Institute of Mental Health, focused specifically on sexual abuse. Her background also includes years of educational experience in community, hospital and university settings. This varied background enables her to very effectively communicate vital information via well produced television and video productions which has been her vocation since 1985. For 6 seasons Slusser produced a daily health program for PA Public Television affiliate WVIA TV. She has produced many award winning documentaries and video productions including an Iris Award winning program focused on eating disorders; a Sigma Theta Tau Award for Excellence in Communicating about issues related to the sexually abused child and eight bronze Telly Award Winning video productions. |

Elaine has a distinguished career as editor, reporter, anchor, and producer for WCPO-TV and WKRC-TV, Cincinnati, and WKBF-TV, Cleveland. She was the winner of 1980 George Foster Peabody Award, the nation's most prestigious broadcasting honor and has twenty-two years in corporate/industrial video communications as producer, executive producer, scriptwriter, and business administrator. |

Finn was educated at Philadelphia's Temple University. His experience includes all aspects of television production. He has worked as a freelance cameraman for national events, including the 1984 Olympics. His background also includes five years experience as a producer/director for the Wilkes-Hahnemann Television Network, an experience that provided him with strong skills and sensitivity in communication about health related topics. Finn spent six years as Production Manager and an Executive Producer for PA Public Television affiliate WVIA TV. He has produced many documentary programs and has won several awards, among them, three Iris Awards for excellence in local production and a regional Emmy Award.
